Semmes Middle School would like to thank all our Partners in Education for helping us make our school the best in Mobile County. We look forward to working with them to make this school year an exciting and rewarding one for all our students. Thank you so much,

Partners in Education (PIE) is a nationally validated program connecting students, teachers and administrators with business, government, volunteer and civic leaders. The Partners program is a proven, effective method of increasing community awareness and input into the local education process.

Currently, the Partners in Education  Program in Mobile County links over 1,000 businesses, organizations, churches and individuals, who make an annual impact of over $2.3 million to our schools in Mobile County. The PIE Partnerships have one common theme, improving the quality of education in Mobile County for every child. The PIE program is coordinated for the Mobile County Public School System by the Mobile Area Education Foundation.

Mobile is one of the finest communities in the country. We have a healthy economy, beautiful surroundings, and a diversity of human resources. Of all community assets, none are more important than our people, and among these, our youth. We now have a great opportunity to assure a positive future for Mobile by investing in the education of these young people.

Community partnerships are designed to develop community-wide support for our schools by building an effective working relationship between the school and local community organizations and businesses. There are many resources we can share to provide a quality education for all of our young people.

“Schools cannot do it alone, but together, we can improve American education—school by school and community by community. Together we can move every child toward achieving high levels of learning.”
Richard W. Riley
    Former U.S. Secretary of Education

Semmes Middle School Partners in Education... THANK YOU, ALL!
