Non-School Related/ Non-Uniform Items

Retrieval Time Change

During the school year, any non-school related items and items that do not conform to the uniform policy or MCPSS Code of Conduct will be taken and held until retrieved by a parent or guardian. These items may be picked up on Monday afternoons, from 3:00 until 3:30 only. This includes electronic items, caps/hats, blankets, as well as jackets other than solid navy blue. Students should leave these items at home. Time will not be taken away from the instructional process to deal with items that are not be brought to school.

First Offense: Parents must pick up item.

Second  Offense: Out of School Suspension

In the event that school is closed on any Monday due to a holiday, other arrangements will be announced. 

Semmes Middle School will not be held responsible for missing items that are brought to school in violation of these policies. Administrators cannot devote time to investigate lost items when instruction is the priority.
