Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball girls! Tonight we celebrate our amazing eighth grade volleyball athletes who have shown heart, hustle, and teamwork all season long. They've given all their all on the court, supported each other through every set and serve, and represented SMS with pride. This week is a jammed packed week here at SMS with Homecoming Days and sporting events. Please mark your calendar for what's happening each day here at SMS!

Tomorrow begins our 2025 Homecoming Activities. Monday dress with your outer space accessories. 👽🛸 Tuesday accessorize with your TackyTourist gear. 🕶️🧢👟 Wednesday accessorize with your circus accessories 🦁🤡 Thursday wear your BEST blue and gold accessories! 💙💛💙 Friday wear dress with your favorite "blast from the past" accessories! Uniform bottoms and tennis shoes must be worn each day. Homecoming Game 2025 is Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6:00. Tickets are available on GoFan.com for $7.00 each. Homecoming Dance is Sept 19th. 7th grade is from 5:30pm-7:00pm and 8th grade is from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Prompt pick up is greatly appreciated.

The volleyball team competed again Burns and Causey. The girls played very well and are improving with every game! We are so proud of the team and coaches!

The Library is in full swing here at SMS! We are thankful to our incredible librarians, Ms. Law and Ms. Gray for making this such a special space!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Today, 9/2, students received their Semmes Middle School ID badges. The library will print one additional badge for each student. Each badge was issued with a clip so it can be easily attached to the student’s collar. Please note that the ID badge is a mandatory part of the school uniform and must be worn daily.

Students will need their ID badges for:

Lunch
Checking out library books
Purchasing dance tickets
Attending any school dance

If the 2nd badge is lost, there is a $5.00 replacement fee. Replacement payments should be sent to the library.
