Parents, we wanted to inform you that Mobile County resource officers were on our campus today conducting random searches for weapons, drugs, vapes, and cell phones not locked in Yondr pouches. This is part of our enhanced safety plan that was created to keep our schools safe and conducive to learning.

Parent, all students should have a progress report that was handed to them today to bring home to you.

Parents and students, please be reminded that phones should not be in our students hands or visible during dismissal. Once pouches are unlocked, phones should stay in bags or pockets until you leave campus.

MCPSS has implemented a new method of communicating with teachers and coaches using the MCPSS app. This change will eliminate the use of multiple communication platforms (such as Remind, BAND, Class Dojo, Teams, etc.) and will, instead, streamline communication across the district for you to access all in one place.

Please refer to the instructions below to help you download the app, login, and begin receiving important information/updates as well as messaging teachers and coaches.

First day 2025
This morning, local churches joined together to invite our community, students, families, staff, and teachers to the front steps of Alma Bryant High School for a special time of encouragement and support.
Together, they offered words of hope, unity, and strength as we prepare for a new school year. The event was filled with a strong sense of community love and positivity, and served as a reminder of how powerful it is when people come together with one purpose—to lift up and support our students and school family.
We are grateful to the churches, leaders, and community members who took time to show their care and commitment to the success and well-being of Alma Bryant High School.

A Huge Thank You to State Representative Mr. Chip Brown!
Today, we were honored to have Representative Chip Brown visit Alma Bryant High School and present checks to both the Alma Bryant Wrestling and Flag Football programs. These generous contributions will directly support the purchase of uniforms, assist with tournament fees, help cover travel costs, and go toward the many other expenses that come with running successful and growing athletic programs.
Representative Brown’s continued support of Alma Bryant Athletics is not only appreciated—it’s impactful. His investment in our student-athletes and their future opportunities sends a strong message that their hard work, dedication, and potential matter. For many of our students, especially those from low-income backgrounds, his support makes it possible for them to compete, grow, and represent their school with pride.
This funding goes beyond just dollars—it fuels dreams, builds confidence, and helps us provide experiences that shape young lives on and off the field or mat. Our student-athletes are incredibly grateful, and so are our coaches, families, and community.
Mr. Brown’s consistent commitment to Alma Bryant and South Mobile County does not go unnoticed. He’s more than just a public official—he’s a true champion for our youth, our schools, and our future.
From all of us at Alma Bryant Wrestling and Flag Football:
Thank you, Representative Chip Brown, for believing in our programs and helping us continue to grow.

🚀📘 Learning Launch 2025-2026: Powered by Purpose! 📘🚀
Today at Alma Bryant High School, our amazing educators came together for another inspiring and productive day of the 2025-2026 Learning Launch Conference! 💙🌪️
From deep dives into student data, root cause analysis, and expeditionary learning to powerful conversations around lesson planning, learning targets, success criteria, and collaboration across departments—our teachers continue to grow and lead with purpose.
A special moment of today came from a powerful message shared by Superintendent Dr. Chresal Threadgill:
“Perseverance Propels Progress.”
These words reminded us that the hard work we’re doing today leads to meaningful growth tomorrow—not just for our students, but for our entire school community.
Mr. Threadgill’s message perfectly captured the energy in the building: a team of dedicated educators pushing forward, united by a shared belief that every student deserves the very best we have to offer.
As always, Alma Bryant continues to raise the bar. Our staff is not just preparing for a new year—they’re shaping the future, one student at a time.
👏 Thank you to everyone who made today such a success. Let’s keep moving forward—because perseverance truly does propel progress.
